Clover’s artistic practice is a thoughtful exploration of the interplay between object, space, and color. His work transforms everyday reality into compelling visual narratives, inviting viewers to engage with the universal language of art. Through his innovative approach, Clover captures the essence of life’s moments, using fundamental artistic tools to create works that resonate deeply and provoke thought.

His latest project, ‘Dialogues’, delves into the profound connections between images, art, memory and imagination. Over the past three years, Clover has carefully curated photographs and paired them using the diptych technique to construct an intuitive and evocative narrative. This unique approach allows the images to interact and reveal hidden relationships, encouraging viewers to reflect on the beauty of the world as it exists—and as it could be. By bridging the past and present, ‘Dialogues’ creates a dynamic space for contemplation, challenging conventional perceptions of time, space, form and color.

The design of ‘Dialogues’ further exemplifies Clover’s meticulous attention to detail. The book is presented as a single section wrapped in bright blue poster paper, bound within a square spine softcover. Its interior, printed in vibrant yellow and red, mirrors the bold contrasts that define Clover’s artistic vision. This multi-sensory experience underscores his dedication to creating immersive and thought-provoking works.

The essence of ‘Dialogues’ lies in its connections—between images, between the present and the canon of 20th-century abstract art, and between the artist and the viewer. Each image in Dialogues exists as part of a larger conversation: between shadow and concrete, color and shape, and ultimately, between Clover Green and the world he observes.

First presented at Claire de Rouen Books in London on November 21, 2024, Dialogues is now available in selected bookstores worldwide, including Tender Books, Reference Point, and the Photographer’s Gallery in London, and Printed Matter and Mast Books in New York City.
