If you are an aspiring photographer: an autodidact or still in the academy it might be a bit challenging to find the right path because photography is the art of many directions. On a good note, you are free to choose anything your heart wants and that you feel most comfortable with. For some, it's working with animals, for others, observe and click silent landscapes. Or maybe you prefer a busy fashion atmosphere with tight deadlines, lots of glamour and a stylist and a light director working with you in one team? Also possible! There are thousands of possibilities, trust us.

However, the most important thing is, no matter what niche you choose is to put your voice in it, so you won't repeat things that have been already done and avoid falling into cliches. How to make this possible? The answer is simple: don't clutter your mind with lots of unnecessary (less is more!). But when you do decide to look, choose the right type of photography to give attention to.

With this article, we would like to guide you through different photographic styles and help you to find the one that speaks directly to you. We've made a selection of our favourite photographers from classic to contemporary to show what is possible to do in the niches from street photography to family portraits.
