Sergi Comellas | Portfolio

Architecture, Portfolio

Sergi Comellas is a Barcelona-based interior designer who he came to this area by instinct. Always in search of a singular project where he can capture his personal vision, in 2005 he opened his own studio in society and since then, his work focuses primarily on the development of private residential projects and professional spaces. In most of the projects he has worked on, the aim of his proposal for interior architecture - interior design has been to create a relationship that would accompany, complement and harmonise the person, without conditioning or transforming them. The idea was to minimize and synthesize, seeking a balance between the aesthetic and the functional.

“An interior space is a changing space, ready to be molded and designed to capture the moods of the person and cover their different needs. It is a question of arriving at a neutral, transformable space that manages to highlight the quality of the materials, the textures, the incidence of the light, to highlight the constructive details, the impurities and the imperfections and thus to create an experience beyond a purely visual effect” - the designer reflects.
