Magazines / 1605 Magazine no.1 Reflection

About this issue
Reflection is the first issue of 1605 Magazine, introducing the people, images and ideas that shape the world of 1605 Collective. Bringing together art, photography, architecture and design, it places reflection and storytelling at the centre of the reading experience. It is an introduction to the magazine through the work and perspectives of its contributors.
Interviews and articles sit alongside photographic portfolios, objects and curated selections. These different formats offer several ways into the issue: through a conversation, a sequence of photographs or a detail that asks for a second look. Reflection invites the reader to move between words and images, giving each its own time and attention.
The contributors include Axel Vervoordt, Renato Nicolodi, Howard Greenberg and Ivania Carpio, alongside photographers and artists such as Paul Cupido, Sarah van Rij, Babs Decruyenaere and Bastiaan Woudt. Kacper Kowalski, Maura Sullivan, Tim Verhallen and Thirza Schaap are also part of this first edition, bringing distinct visual approaches into the same publication.
Published in an edition of 1,000 copies, Reflection contains 168 pages in a large-format softcover with blind embossing. It establishes the magazine as a printed meeting place for creative disciplines, with room for both reading and looking.
